12, 2011 (LFM) - Sri Lankan stocks fell almost one percent on Wednesday.
The
main All Share Price Index fell 0.97 percent (64.81 points) to 6,604.23, while
the more liquid Milanka index fell 0.51 percent (29.98 points) to close at
5,905.92,
According
to stock exchange figures. Turnover was 1.6 billion rupees.
Asian
Alliance Insurance, the day's biggest loser and third most actively traded
stock, fell 88.20 rupees or 26 percent, to close at 244.10, after hitting a low
of 240 rupees during the day.
